• Heffley Engineering Services are looking for a Technical Support Engineer – Apprentice, to work from our Head Office in Ayr. As part of the design team, you’ll work on a variety of exciting Design Projects and in various industries. This 3-year, Level 7 Diploma Engineering Apprenticeship scheme, whilst studying an HNC in Engineering Manufacture, will prepare you for a career in Engineering and equip you with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to become a qualified Engineer. We are looking for individuals who are local to the area and within commuting distance of our office in Ayr. 

• Heffley Engineering Services are a Multi Discipline, Industrial EC&I Design, Test & Surveying Engineering Company who are in the process of expansion. We offer flexible working conditions and benefits to include a fully paid Gym Membership and Work Laptop. 

Details of The Role: 

• Obtain a working knowledge and learn all aspects of the office environment 
• Assist the Design Centre with project package deliverables 
• Surveying in Hazardous Areas, including COMAH sites, ensuring compliance with the relevant regulations (Full Training provided) 
• Interpretating and understanding Electrical, Mechanical & Control Schematics & Site Diagrams 
• Internal & external collaboration with Colleagues, Clients & Customers to ensure successful completion of project deliverables 
• Actively pursue professional development through internal Development & Learning, whilst attending an external college on a day release basis  

Requirements: 

• Performing Engineering Operations (PEO) Certified 
• NC Certificate in an Engineering Discipline (achieved by July 2025) 
• Basic knowledge of AUTO CAD Software 
• Good understanding of Microsoft and software packages 
• Ability to work on your own initiative (working from home 50%) and as part of a team 
• Hard working, pro-active, ambitious, organised and disciplined  

Desirable: 

• Full UK Driving License
